Hello, and welcome to my (Alex Vega) educational and proofreading services page! If you're looking for someone who can aid in adapting existing educational materials or creating new ones, I'm your person! Thanks to EBC's Trinity CertTESOL course, I have obtained and developed skills related to lesson planning, educational materials development, TEFL, and TESOL. My overall goal is to adapt and develop educational materials suitable for today's learners, and to make existing educational materials more accessible to all sorts of learners. Please note that I currently only have a PDF version of my certificate available for verification purposes. The physical copy (i.e. the official version) will be mailed to me in the coming months; this will take some time because it has to be mailed internationally. I have opted not to directly place my certificate on my website to avoid the possibility of someone trying to steal my identity/impersonate me.

General Information

  • I am primarily interested in producing audio recordings for online educational materials/resources and textbooks. Content related to teaching English as a foreign language is preferred, as that is what I studied while taking the Trinity CertTESOL course, but I would be more than happy to work with other subjects as well (science, math, literature, arts, food science, etc.). For information about my at-home setup and recording capabilities, please see my voice acting website, which I have linked near the top of the page.

  • My international TEFL certificate makes me qualified to teach English to students learning it as a foreign language. While I am open to being considered for teaching positions, I feel that my abilities are better suited for a "supporting role," i.e. producing materials and resources for TEFL and TESOL teachers to use in the classroom, online or in-person. However, instructor feedback from the CertTESOL course regarding my teaching skills is available upon request if such services are desired.

  • I am also available to work on producing educational content for social media (such as YouTube). If you have any such ambitions, feel free to reach out to collaborate! Communication via email is preferred for more professional gigs, but we can also speak over Discord if that would be better suited for your needs (my Discord tag is listed on my voice acting website).

  • My turnaround time for audio recordings is dependent on the word count of the material. I cannot get an entire textbook recorded within a week, but a listening activity or something similar is feasible.

Please note that my availability to teach (online and in-person) will be irregular for some time due to a potential move within the next year. I may make an official announcement about this once the details have been finalized. My availability for the other services I offer is not affected.

Pricing

  • All work-related charges are dependent on the job I have been assigned to do.

  • If I am hired for a long-term position, the company or business' predetermined salary/payment will be requested.

  • Payment is determined on a case-by-case basis for freelance and contract work.

  • Pricing for work more closely aligned with voice acting is available via my voice acting website. Please note that the prices listed there only apply to freelance and contract work.

  • Payments for informal positions/gigs are accepted only via PayPal at this time; other options may become available later (feel free to inquire about this).
